Appointed by her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Actively participate in the Board meetings of these organizations. If it maybe mentioned I at first wished I could decline the appointment, humbly believing that I did not have the business and professional inclination for this task, however, I decided to take the better path of not turning down a "call to service" by no less than the President, and that, in the President's own words, what my "name means is the primary qualification". In retrospect, I realized that indeed, I am glad I am of service.

Consultant to the Presidential Assistant of the GRP - MILF Peace Process
I serve more as a "back channel" liaison between the government and the military on one hand, and the top leadership of the MILF, particularly Chairman Salamat, on the other. This is primarily because of what they call a "unique convergence" in me of what otherwise are separate entities, referring to my being a former government official and having continued involvement on a private basis with the government, my close alliance in fact brotherhood with the military (being an adopted member of the PMA Class 83, said to be the first and so far still the only Muslim to be given this privilege), and being my "favorite" nephew of MILF Chairman Salamat and my having the "most number of relatives who are members of the MILF".

Head, ARMM Movers Group, GMA Job Creation Program
This is an informal grouping of young Muslim leaders coming from the 5 ARMM provinces, who responded to the call of DA Secretary Cito Lorenzo in December 2001, when he was still the Presidential Adviser on GMA's Job Creation Program. We had since then been actively involved, working in our private capacities, to explore possibilities and opportunities to bring in economic development into ARMM, and also to help in the peace process.

This is a brainchild of Presidential Assistant Paul Dominguez, Vice-Chairman of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), who requested me to be of further service to the Business and Peace Program, by assuming this responsibility.

Organized by the President Estrada, to rehabilitate and develop conflict areas that were affected by his all-out war against the MILF.
